  It is never easy being a musician but because of Alicia Keys early eclectic education and life lessons she overcame many obstacles and was inspired.  Within Keys Soul resonates an extreme love for classical, jazz and hip-hop which has greatly influenced her music.  Because of this fusion of different musical stylings she has become a five-time Grammy award winner.  She had sold more than 235,000 thousand copies of her music the first week and later sold more than 10 million units around the world.

  Alicia was born and raised in Manhattan in New York City by a single mother.  She started making music at age seven when she started playing piano.  She later went on to to Professional Performing Arts School and graduated at age 16 as valedictorian!  She released her first album and became signed with J Records.  She started as a huge commercial success with her album “Songs in A Minor” came out selling more than 12 million copies worldwide.  She earned five Grammy Awards in 2002 including the best “Song of the Year” for her song “Fallin” and also won for “Best New Artist”.

  Her second album “The Diary of Alicia Keys” was later released in 2003 was one more huge worldwide success which sold 8 million copies.  She again won more Grammy Awards, five to be exact.  Keys has made many appearances on many different tv serieses including “Charmed” her film debut in “Smokin Aces” and appeared on “The Nanny Diaries” in 2007 as well.  She had also created many more albums that won her world praise and many more awards.  At such a young age she has already accomplished so much and we can only imagine there will be many more to come.
