Billy Elliot started in the West End in 2005.  It became a quick and enormous his at the Victoria Palace Theatre.  The London critics even said it was possibly one of the finest British musicals ever.  Also, in Sydney Australia it became an acclaimed production.  It finally arrived at the Imperial Theatre on Broadway where it also became an instant hit that entertained night after night. 

Billy Elliot has also been the recipient of many theater awards all around the world.  Many including London’s Olivier Award for Best New Musical, the Outer Critics Circle Awards, many Drama Desk Awards and even a Tony Award for the Best Musical!  The three boys who kept alternating Billy’s role also won awards as the best Actors for the Musical Tony Award.
