Cats Tickets

“A brilliantly imaginative show” are the words of the Daily Mirror about the musical “Cats”.  "Explosive narrative invention..." said by the financial times.  Cats is truly a famous musical.  Cats is an all-dancing and all-singing musical based off the poems from T.S. Eliot’s “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats”.  The music is staged by Gillian Lynne and it is directed by Trevor Nunn.  This play has truly conquered the hearts of everyone who has witnessed it.

  The cats emerge from a particularily darkened landcape into a huge junkyard where they all sing about their unique abilities and all of their different special abilities.  This is a special night when this tribe of Jellicle Cats get together and celebrate themselves. 

  Cats was first started in the West End in 1981 and later went on to Broadway in 1982.  This play has won numerous awards including the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Laurence Olivier Award.  The production in the West End kept up for 21 years while the Broadway production stayed around for 18 years.  Both of these set long-run records.  A couple of the actors actually have been with the play for more than 15 years!  The play overall has been translated into more than 20 languages and has been played all around the world.  It was even made into a television video.
