  A songwriter, singer, businessman, movie producer, and even author, Jimmy buffet has sure made his mark on the world.  Jimmy is most well known for escaping to islands and his music with hits like “Margaritaville”.  He is also well known for his song “Come Monday”.  His fan base is well devoted and are are called “Parrotheads”.  Jimmy’s bands name is Coral Reefer Band.

  Buffett began playing guitar during his years of college.  His actual career commenced in Nashville in the 1960’s.  He started as a country singer and he also recorded his very first album “Folk Rock Down To Earth, in the 1970’s.  Most of the time he was seen playing for tourists in New Orleans.  Later he moved to Key West were he started his persona as a type of smooth beach bum.  He started a combination of folk, country, pop and coastal lyrics and themes into his music.

  He has also had many other albums, for example, in 1973 he released “A White Sport Coat And A Pink Crustacean”.  Then later in 1974 he released his other album “Havana Daydreamin”.  He also finally released “Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes” which also had his big hit song “Margaritaville”.  Although his last albums were big hits, his fan base usually agrees that his first albums show his best work.
